How to Select Mesh Count and Wire Diameter

Mesh count alone does not determine filtration opening. Both mesh count and wire diameter must be considered when selecting stainless steel wire mesh.

•  Higher mesh count generally produces smaller openings.
•  Larger wire diameter increases mesh strength but reduces open area.
•  Smaller wire diameter increases open area but may reduce rigidity.
•  Dutch weave should be selected by filtration performance rather than mesh count alone.
