Stainless steel profiled wire is a solid body, made of square and round steel as raw materials. It is divided into cold-drawn profiled steel and hot-drawn profiled steel. Stainless steel profiled wire is a semi-finished auxiliary material, widely used in iron art guardrail manufacturing, machinery manufacturing, steel structure manufacturing, tools, boiler manufacturing and supporting, construction metal, drive bevel and various car chains, automobile industry, steel grille, mesh manufacturing industry and other aspects.
Hot-rolled profiled steel has stable material and can be welded, drilled, bent, twisted and other processes. Cold-drawn profiled steel is a cold-drawn profiled steel with various cross-sections and different specifications and tolerances using cold extrusion technology through various hollow molds. The angle can be right angles, with high precision and smooth surface.
Profiled steel wire has a variety of shapes, including square, rectangular, triangular, hexagonal, flat and other polygonal irregular shapes. Due to its unique contour shape, it has the following characteristics:
(1) Shape functionality. Depending on the shape and purpose, special-shaped steel wire has functions such as sealing, positioning, guiding, stability, and practicality. For example, special-shaped steel wires for mechanical keys, retaining rings, bearing cages, and semicircular pins play a good positioning role; carburetor needle valves and automobile piston rings have good sealing stability; hexagonal nuts use steel wires, square and rectangular springs use steel wires, etc. Many special-shaped steels for special purposes have good practicality.
(2) No cutting and material saving. The special-shaped steel wires produced now can be directly used in production and do not require users to perform machining, thus saving materials and reducing many troubles for users and reducing costs.
(3) High precision. At present, the dimensional accuracy of special-shaped steel wires produced by modern means can reach about 0.2 mm, and some can reach below 0.01 mm. The high-precision ones can even reach the micron level, such as automobile scraper wires, elliptical needle cloth wires, etc.
